Greg Lewis

newly signed in 2008/09 season & plays as goalkeeper.Greg has been training with Pwll since Xmas 2007 however was not able to sign due to league rules after already being signed by 2 clubs Wellfield & Llaneli Steel in same season where he was only asked to play outfield. Pwll are in need of a young GK & Greg fits the bill.

Jason Saunders:

has been with Pwll since dot & has been playing as 1st team GK & part of promotion side 2006/07. Jason also plays well outfield, Versatile & ,keeps extremely fit. He is currently Fixture Sec on committee voted Pwll’s Sportsman of the year 2 years running 2005-2007.

Tom Connors:

signed 2006/07 as a 16 yr old from Dafen Juniors. Tom likes to play central midfield but has played right wingback for the 1st team 2007/08. He is One to watch & has been voted Young Player of the year 2007/08.

Wayne Francis:

 Frenchy to his friends. No nonsense defender,only likes to play right back ,very fast,says came a close 2nd to Christian Malcolm in 100 yd race. Came back from injury & got match fitness back helping the 2nds stay in Top 1st Res Div by the end of the season 2007/08.

Luke Williams :

newly signed 2008/09, Luke has played for Pwll previously in our U'17 team of 2004/05 as an overage player by 1 yr & is a welcome young player who is comfortable playing in central defence.

Christian Bonnell : 

You will be hard pressed to see a classier right back in the Prem any season. He can play central Defence & Midfield. Players player of the year.2006/07

Gavin Evans:

Defender. Tall, good in the air & fast. Normally plays defence but has been used as a Striker often last season. Part of the Promotion team 2006/07 & currently Managers Player of the year 2007/08.

Andrew Williams:

Known to all as Shanter. Left sided player, Played Defender in last 3 seasons & a good teammate to have in dressing room. Shanter is a good Pre-Match warm up coach & also helps with fitness routines with the squad during training.Shanter suffered with injuries at the beginning of season 2007/08.

Gavin Lemon:

Joined Pwll 2006/07 . Gav played a big part in Pwll’s Promotion team as a Midfielder however played most of the 1st Premier season as a makeshift centre half.Gavin is suffering with a knee injury pre-season & may take some time off to recover. we wish him well in this.

Andrew Phillips:

Play's Central Midfield or Central Defence .He is the nicest guy you would ever meet however don’t cross him on a football field. He played a big part in Promotion team & the team miss him when he doesn’t play.

Steve Phillips:

Central Midfielder however has played Striker Steve came back 2006/07 after breaking his leg the season before & has been outstanding in his play. Steve has swept up player of year awards nearly every season inc last seasons Players Player award 2007/08.

Tom Watkeys :

has come through the ranks of the Junior Pwll side since he was 10. Has played in Senior 1st side since he was 16. He plays as a dogged Hardworking Central Midfielder, knows how to tackle & can pick out a sweet pass with his vision. Tom was deservedly Pwll’s Clubman of the year 2006/07 but persistant injuries lay him low for 2007/08.

Rob Vaisey :

newly signed 2008/09,Rob is a young talented & versatile player. Rob has been used as a fullback & also in his prefered position of midfield in friendlies & Star cup games pre-season.

David James :

newly signed 2008/09, Dai is a talented hardworking striker. He hopes to become available to play Saturdays by changing shifts as he works in retail on Saturdays at present.

Liam Kenna: 

Pwll is the home village team for the well travelled player, ex Swansea City junior. As much as we wish Liam very well in his ambitions & hopes as a professional player,we would like to see more committment to Pwll AFC for the whole of the season.

 

Darren Blake:

Another who has come up through the Pwll Juniors, now plays Striker He is very pacey, hard working ,chases lost causes & top scorer with 23 goals in our 1st premier season. Managers Reserve team player of the year 2006/07 & now a 1st team regular.

Lee Burns:

Left footed front player who says he has a right foot however more people have seen flying saucers. Lee had an excellent season 2006/07.Top scorer & managers player of the year despite their difference of opinions. Lee however would not commit to our Premier 1st season 2007/08.

 

Maxwell Creed:

Striker, Wrangled by injuries 2006/07 however still played a good part in Promotion side. Max is an out & out goalscorer & has been a mainstay in 1st team for 3 years since he turned 16 after playing for over 5 yrs for Pwll Juniors. Max is now in Uni & was unable to play too often for Pwll 2007/08.

Kevin Evans: 

Pwll born & bred, Kevin is an out & out Winger however has gained strength to his game since playing for seniors. Young Player of the year 2006/07 & a mainstay in premier last season & promotion winning side.

Martin McCarthy:

Solid central defender however can play in most other Defensive positions inc GK. He played a good part in Pwll's Star Cup run 2007/08 Pre-Season & has remained the 1st team most of 2007/08.

Clive Thomas:

Clive started season 2007/08 assisting the 1st team manager however ended up as Manager & secured Premier safety with the team. Clive is still a player, plays in Defence but will only play when needed. Clive deservedly won sportsman of the year 2007/08.

Gareth Mahoney:

A new signing in January 2008. A versatile player who can play a commanding game for his young years in defence or midfield. Scored a debut goal from a freekick in the derby versus Burry port.

Anthony Bonnell:

is one of our oldest & experienced players & joker in the pack. Played central defender in promotion year & probably our best player. He is very versatile & gives his all in every match, an ex midfielder scored a few important goals 2006/07 to gain promotion to the Premier Division. Previous clubs Dafen, & Suburbs

 

Anthony Guy:

Lofty to all his mates is a complete character in the club. He plays GK now having dodgy knees at his ripe old age. Ex midfielder also coaches a young girls team  Llanelli AFC. Lofty is currently Clubman of the year 2007/08.

Kevin Aitken:

is mainstay no nonsense fullback in the Pwll reserve side.

Curtis Allen:

normally plays left back however has capabilities to run past oppenents going forward. Curt works hard at his game & is a good team player.

Adrian Gray  

Known as (Paddy). Colourful character. Central Defender,good in the air,his timing is excellent & if wasn't for working away would be playing more & be part of the 1st team squad. Paddy is currently 2nd team players & managers Player of the year 2007/08

Gwyn Pugh:

Versatile Player- usually turns up late for matches due to work commitments & normally plays 2nd half. He works hard, makes a nuisance of himself to the opposition scored an important goal or two.

 

Andrew Mooney:

All round good Defender. Andrew is assisting Mark Aitken with running the reserves 2007/08 . He is thought of highly in the club, runs the tote & was Reserve team player 2006/07.

Mark Aitken:

Reserve team Manager. If he hasn,t enough on his plate is also Club sec & treasurer. Mark is one of our older players & has plenty of experience in a number of positions. Mark also scored a few goals over the seasons.

Matthew Davies:

is Pwlls youngest player just signed up on his 16th birthday 2007/08. Matthew played for Pwll Juniors the season before& plays well at midfield or in defence. Matthew is a bright young player & an asset badly needed at this time. Matthew scored on his debut versus Calsonic reserves 2007/08.

Mal Rees:

played central Midfield last 2 seasons. Signed 2006/07 from Felinfoel.scored a couple of goals 2007/08

Nathan Davies:

Striker - Nathan featured in Pwll's u17 side 3yrs ago but has struggled to maintain a place in the senior side however getting stronger each season.

Gareth Griffiths:

Striker, works hard up front for the team . Gar Griff was not available most of season 2007/08

Mike Shea:

will play anywhere for the team & has done. Mike is enthusiastic about football , likes to attack even when playing in defence.He can score goals & chases lost causes. He has been known to tackle his own team mates.

Ashley Davies:

worked his way into the 2nd team having spent some time on 2nds & 1st team bench however with some grit & determination got more playing time last season. He works hard & is tricky on the ball. Ashley can also score with a terrific shot when on his game.

Glyn Edwards:

signed back with Pwll 2007/08 after breaking his foot a year before. Its nice to see Glyn back up & running & training with the team for match fitness.
